Artist Training (16 - 21)

  • Welcome to Young Valued & Gifted - Artist Training. This program offers a structured approach to developing your artistic career. Here's what you can expect:

    Week One Orientation:

    During the first week, you will attend an orientation where you'll learn about available job opportunities, studio access, and internship possibilities.

    Manager Assignment:

    By the end of the orientation, you will be assigned a manager who will provide you with work or training experiences for up to 10 hours per week.

    Earning Maximum Hours:

    To reach your maximum hours for your age group, you will attend workshops, complete assignments, and actively participate in the program. These activities contribute towards earning additional hours and are tracked.

    Age Requirements:

    16 - 21 only. If you are 22 years old or above, you will not be assigned to a training experience. Instead, your intern job will provide details on working in the studio and specific job responsibilities you’ll be assigned.

    We are excited to have you join our program and support you in your artistic journey. Get ready to acquire valuable skills, gain practical experience, and grow as an artist.

  • Once assigned to a manager, you’ll work with them from 10 - 15 hours per week. Additional time can be earned by:

    Sign up and attend networking discussions, events, and productions, complete movie reviews, and participate in social campaigns and other cool happenings on-site. Attending networking sessions. These are scheduled events that go beyond the confines of structured training.

    The Studio Experience Program offers the flexibility and artistic autonomy to explore new horizons and push the boundaries of your creativity. It is a distinct opportunity to develop your personal artistic voice beyond the traditional training structure.

  • Each trainee is encouraged to book our of several studios to work on your art project. Available studios include photo, recording, dance and more.

  • Discuss with the trainers on the type of work schedule they’ll have with you. They’ll track your time each week.
