  • Commissioners are trusted members who help shape our community's culture and future. This program is designed for leaseholders, event coordinators, and partners to earn additional revenue by hosting training workshops, artist-related functions, and branded events.

  • Commissioners receive benefits and discounts on event rentals, fiscal sponsorship, access to government information and other exclusive opportunities.

  • Tenants may begin reserving common area spaces upon receipt of a Use and Occupancy permit for their primary business unit.

    We encourage all tenants to complete basic regulatory requirements as required by the county.

    Permits such as liquor, food sales require basic documents such as a use and occupancy.

  • If renting space on behalf of a 3rd party, there are no restrictions on upselling spaces at the price you set with your client.

    You contract your client and manage the space as you own.

    Each commissioner hosting events must abide by the laws of PG County, MD and follow basic site rules.

  • The available spaces are Stage (150), StudioVision (50), RedRoom (100), Smoke bar (75), Rebel Pavillion (50), and Studio K Podcast (10).

    Spaces are not guaranteed unless reserved and fully booked. Please note that availability, appearance, size, or manager may change at any time.

  • Event spaces range from $1000 to $1500 per booking with Commissioners receiving up to 50% off of the “at then” price for space.

    Each space cost is normally a 4-hour min.

    Once you are ready to book, pay the fee and begin planning in space with your client.

  • All events are allowed to bring outside food and manage their own alcohol at a bar station. All food and alcohol must be managed.

    There are no BYOB allowed in any of our spaces when hosting events or gatherings. Please ensure this message is carried forward to your team and guests for their awareness.

    A managed bar and bartender or server is required at all times for any event done on premise that involves the consumption of alcohol.

  • Tenants interested in alcohol sales have the following options:

    1. Obtain a one-day liquor license from the county.

    2. Request use of site cash bar if over 75 guests.

    Leaseholders that have “event use” authorized as the primary use of their business are allowed to apply for an alcohol beverage via the court hearing process. Please plan at least 1 year in advance when starting the alcohol class x process.

    For tenants that do not rent spaces authorized for events, you are not eligible to apply through the county for this type of license. You must obtain a unit that will be recognized by the county as permit option.

  • Blackout days vary from space to space and is subject to availability. For simple projects under 10 guests during the day usually will not incur a fee as staff is on site to reserve rooms and prepare space. For requests after blackout times, there is usually a free at the “at then” rate.

    Site hours end daily at 4:00pm. Any requests for black out use after incurs the daily rate expense.

    Commissioner status can be revoked at anytime due to unplanned overages or incidents involving use of black out days or tenant benefits.

  • Event coordinators should plan to provide and manage their own contracts with clients and ensure business operation information is completed under the guidelines of their lease.

    A copy of our basic contract that we provide to clients is available to commissioners.

  • Once a commissioner agreement has been signed, you may begin bookings as early as two weeks in advance or as defined in your contract. Other details pertaining to access codes, operating hours, and more will be included in your contract to allow you time to come in and utilize spaces.

  • For Leaseholders ONLY. Tenants that have yearly leases with us have access to blackout days to run continuous projects, exhibits, and training.

    Cost is based on staffing up to $125 for the entire 4-hour block.

    Blackout days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays from 9am to 9pm.

    Tenants may host the following types of for-profit events:

    • Training or classes

    • Listening events up to 50 guests

    • Art exhibits

    Subtenants may also apply, but must be represented by addendum by a leaseholder. Tenant understands they are liable for all activities for booking.

    All applications for blackout days require that you are a tenant with 1 year positive rental history with us. Other conditions may apply based on the Tenant request.

  • Commissioners are required to meet quotas under our standard 3-month agreement. During your agreement, you receive an access code, and must provide business insurance or pay per day insurance for each specific event.

  • Site is responsible for managing parking lot. Site staff monitor parking lot to enforce parking lot rules.

    Event planners may request reserved parking during events with advance notice.

  • Commissioner utilizing black out days must remember that leaseholder benefits are reserved for tenants. Black out days are designed for productions such as podcasts, content creation, video/music shoots etc.

    Event requests over 25 guests on Black out days must be reviewed before approval.
